Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao by Frank Gehry

This modern and contemporary art museum located in the Spanish Basque Country is one of five museums of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Designed by Frank Gehry in the style that made him famous, his silhouette is the result of a unique blend of stone, glass, water and titanium. Opened in 1997, the museum quickly became one of the most known and appreciated contemporary buildings in the world, doing a lot for renewal and reputation of the city. This impact has been on a city named by the researchers "Guggenheim Effect". The museum notably houses large-scale, site-specific works and installations by contemporary artists, such as Indian artist Anish Kapoor with "80 Balls" in stainless steel or Jeff Koons with "Tulips", an amazing polychrome sculpture. A place to visit urgently...
